UNA is committed to providing students, faculty, staff, and visitors with a safe campus environment. The University maintains a full-time police department, offers safety resources, and uses emergency alert systems to keep the campus informed. UNA prioritizes safety so that everyone can focus on learning, working, and enjoying campus life with peace of mind.
UNA Police Department
UNA has a dedicated police force (UNA PD) and a variety of safety measures on campus to keep everyone safe.
Student Nighttime Auxiliary Patrol
The Student Nighttime Auxiliary Patrol (SNAP) program provides nightly escorts anywhere on campus to persons on request. The service is staffed by students equipped and supervised by UNA PD.
Transportation
UNA’s main campus is easily walkable and bikeable. For easy access to our East Campus and McKinney Center, students can take advantage of UNA's free shuttle service.
